Green Communities Foundation is an organisation that handholds societies in Mumbai towards becoming Waste Free!
We want to encourage and help societies to manage their own waste and enjoy the process all the while.
However, waste management is never easy or cheap.
So, Green Communities Foundation presents the Green Community Contest!
It is a platform to showcase your commitment towards waste management to win free composting equipment and other goodies! It doesn’t get better than this!!
All you have to do is fill out the online application form and show us how committed you really are towards implementing Waste Management at your society. If you are among the most committed societies, you will be a WINNER!

Prize details
There will be 9 winners for the first phase of this contest who have a chance to win upto Rs. 9 Lakh worth of composting equipment.
There are three categories for the contest:
Small Society (upto 100 apartments) – 3 Winners!
0.5 Lakhs worth of composting equipment + FREE vertical garden
Segregation and Composting workshops
Medium Society (100-200 apartments) – 3 Winners!
1 Lakh worth of composting equipment + FREE vertical garden
Segregation and Composting workshops
Large Society (more than 200 apartments) – 3 Winners!
1.5 Lakhs worth of composting equipment + FREE vertical garden

What do you need to do?
- Obtain your management committee approval for implementation of waste management in your society
- Complete the application form and submit before the last date of submission
- Compliance and cooperation from everyone within the society
- Residents need to be committed and willing to implement waste management
Rules for the Green Community Contest
- Your society must have the management committee and all residents prepared for Waste Management Implementation.
- Your application form must be submitted either by mail or online latest by 10 September 2017.
- Shortlisted societies will be contacted for further information and site surveys.
- If you are selected as a winner, Green Communities Foundation will become your implementation partner for the waste management project at your society. Your prize money will cover part of the equipment costs. Depending on the size of the society the monthly running costs of the project will be extra.
- We are bringing you this contest in collaboration with our marketing partners. In addition to helping you out with the waste management implementation they are also likely to bring exciting new products to you. They will share these details with you via periodic activities at your society.
- In addition to composting equipment, we will also be providing you with a vertical garden on behalf of our marketing partner.
- Prior to kick-starting the waste management project, we will be signing a comprehensive implementation agreement with you.
- Winning societies get a chance to feature on our newsletter, website and Facebook blog.
- Green Communities Foundation will be the final decision maker regarding the choice of winning societies.
